Family therapy can be accessed to work on a range of relationships and I use it to describe two or more people who care about each other and refer to themselves as ‘family’.
Family therapy can give you the opportunity to express and explore your feelings in a safe, non-judgmental space. When you work with me you will find me to be an invested therapist, who is committed to fully understanding your issues and finding solutions to the difficulties you are facing. I can help you improve your communication and alter any unhelpful behaviour patterns.
I have worked with a range of families: within LGBTQIA+ communities, same sex relationships, trans relationships and transitioning while in an existing relationship, asexual relationships, those in polyamorous / ethical non-monogamous relationships, relationship anarchists, sibling relationships, parent - child (including adult children) relationships.
I offer a variety of evidence-based counselling modalities, including dialectical behaviour therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I also offer specialised services for children and adolescents, as well as support for LGBTQ+ partners, groups, and families.
My approach to family therapy is rooted in empathy, compassion and non-judgement, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings, and where you can develop the skills and tools to thrive in your relationship.
I specialise in working with Neurodivergent individuals
Sessions tend to need to be a little longer and so I offer a 90 minute session at a cost of £120
