The more I work with ADD/ADHD clients, the more I recognise the need for this service.
This idea comes from the concept of "body doubling" and shared accountability which seems to help trick our ADHD brains into functioning just a little bit more effectively.
I can offer text reminders, short phone check ins, and other prompts to help you overcome your executive dysfunction.
Here are some examples:
Need to clean a room?
We agree that you will send me a photo/video of your cleaned room at 9pm
Need to get on with writing an essay?
We agree that I will call you at 7pm to see if you've reached the word count you were aiming for
Need to start a project?
We agree that you will text me your initial ideas by 4pm
Need a reminder but calendars and alarms don't work for you?
We agree that I will call or text you at a pre-arranged time
Whatever you need we will negotiate how I can support you.
I charge a flat fee of £5 per ADHD Buddy Service interaction
