Living with ADHD, means navigating a complex mix of issues.
This pie chart represents just some of them...
As well as the standard set of symptoms that come with ADHD, you may well have a range of other things going on for you (some of which are listed here) to a greater or lesser degree.
What I mean is that the pieces of the pie might be bigger or smaller for you depending how your ADHD uniquely presents for you.
I support my clients with issues around:
*demands from others
...and many, many others...
My role is to help you uncover which elements of your ADHD are dominating your life and then to help you find strategies to manage them through a combination of coaching and counselling.
I also recommend trying out apps and websites such as:
Goblin Tools https://goblin.tools/ or
AWARENESS is the first step to understanding your ADHD!
From there we can collaborate on exploring different strategies to help you cope.
Next steps might be to explore other areas of your life which feed into your ADHD symptoms. For example, what triggers your rejection sensitivity? Might it be connected to how your attachment style, to previous traumas, how you were parented, or other relational issues? Once you have understanding and awareness you can begin to process this information which can lead you to begin to make different choices.
Whatever your experience with your ADHD, I want you to know that I don't take a "one size fits all" approach. Your experience will be unique and I will take the time to help you uncover not only the challenges you face but the strengths your ADHD can offer you too.
My Story: When my child was diagnosed with ADHD in 2020 I took a course with CAMHS for parents with children with ADHD and, following on from that learning, I undertook further CPD and did a lot of my own research which helped me understand how to compassionately and empathically support my child with the challenges they faced. Somewhere along this journey I slowly began to realise that I too had experienced much of what I was learning about. I eventually got my NHS diagnosis in August 2023.
If my story or the way I work resonates with you please get in touch. I work with all areas of Neurodivergence; ADD, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, OCD, and everything else in between. I'd love the opportunity to work with you and support you to live the life you desire!
